Autumn is my favorite season, October is my favorite month, and Halloween is my favorite holiday. To celebrate all these wonderful things, I'm releasing Tales of the Grotesque and Dungeonesque II: Expert Grotesques and Dungeonesques (TotGaD II: EGaD!)
What can you expect from this tome of old-school-compatible Gothic Fantasy? New monsters, new spells, new magic items, new details on the World Between, random tables galore, and adventure sketches to use as the basis of your Gothic Fantasy scenarios. The table of contents has been posted here. It's got 118 pages of content ready to make your games just a little bit creepier.
As always, you have your choice of format:
Click here for EGaD in FREE pdf form.
Click here for EGaD in softcover print-on-demand from Lulu.
Click here for EGaD in hardcover print-on-demand from Lulu.
Also, to further bring ghoulish cheer to the season, both the softcover and hardcover linked above are currently on-sale for the month of October. The price will go up a tad in November, so now is the time to buy. Plus, if you order soon you should have it in time for Halloween!
Oh, and since I've had a bunch of comments and emails asking about it, I also did a Gothic Earth supplement for a friend who asked. It's essentially a cherry-picked collection of material from the first TotGaD book and TotGaD II: EGaD that has been reflavored for a Gothic 19th century earth setting. This, too, is available as a FREE pdf, a softcover book, and a hardcover book.
Happy October, Everybody! 30 more days to Halloween, SILVER SHAMROCK!

I actually stayed up late, just to see if you would be posting the info at midnight. Just ordered! I got my printed copy of book one a few weeks back. Thanks Jack!
ReplyDeleteNow that is devotion!
DeleteSweet, grabbing PDF now, will do a bit of shopping in the morning at Lulu.
ReplyDeleteOh Lulu, you sweet, sweet, expensive bitch.
Enjoy!
DeleteI've been looking forward to this enough that I've already printed and bound the PDF while I wait (also, lies flat, so it's easier to use).
DeleteI looked over the updated Volume 1, you did somewhat more than add an index, didn't you? I make it around forty or fifty pages more material.
Vol. 1 had two revisions: the first one added the Flavors of Fear material, the second one took care of some crazy spellcheck errors and added the index.
DeleteAh, so I think I originally printed out the first one, then there have been two updates since. Okay.
DeleteThe hardcover has both?
Yeah, the ones at Lulu are printed from the latest update.
DeleteJust in time for Halloween.
ReplyDeleteThat was the plan all along.
Deleteorder just a bit ago, with a few other cool things.
ReplyDeleteAwesome, what else did you get?
Deleteblood and treasure and encounter critical
DeleteI really liked the B&T Player's Tome, I've hardly cracked the Treasure Keeper's Tome (too busy!)
DeleteJack, what's your PayPal. I want to send you a few bucks for putting this and the old one together.
ReplyDeleteThank you, Life, for dealing me zero left over money of late... just so I can't get either of Jack's books off Lulu (who I am scared will yet again mess up another hardcover I order with the weird, crumply pages due to the glue drying messing everything up).
ReplyDeleteI guess this blown-up-the-ass smoke goes here as well as anywhere:
Thanks for this blog. It makes all my pink parts tingle.

No worries, they'll be there waiting for you next time you have a windfall!
DeleteAnd thanks.
