Meeshka - Bearfolk for 5e D&D

Every setting has bear-people these days, why should Scarabae be any different?

Meeshka Traits
Ability Score Increase. Your Strength score increases by 2.
Age. Meeshkas have lifespans comparable to humans.
Alignment. Meeshka outlooks vary greatly. The more regimented and martial meeshka communities tend toward lawfulness, but many meeshkas are solitary in nature and are likely to be neutral. Outcasts from meeshka societies are frequently chaotic and unpredictable.
Size. Meeshkas stand between 6 and 7 feet tall and average about 400 pounds. Your size is medium.
Speed. Your base walking speed is 30 feet.
Darkvision. You have superior vision in dark and dim conditions. You can see in dim light within 60 feet of you as if it were bright light, and in darkness as if it were dim light. You can’t discern color in darkness, only shades of gray.
Powerful Build. You count as one size larger when determining your carrying capacity and the weight you can push, drag, or lift.
Tooth and Claw. You possess powerful claws and teeth and have proficiency with them. Your claws count as light slashing weapons that inflict 1d6 damage. Your bite counts as a light piercing weapon that inflict 1d4 damage.
Meeshka Armor Training. You have proficiency with light and medium armor.
Languages. You can speak, read, and write Common.
Subrace. Four main subraces of meeshkas populate the world: black, brown, grizzly, and polar meeshkas. Choose one of these subraces.

Black Meeshka
Ability Score Increase. Your Intelligence increases by 1.
Mask of the Wild. You can attempt to hide even when you are only lightly obscured by foliage, heavy rain, falling snow, mist, and other natural phenomena.

Brown Meeshka
Ability Score Increase. Your Wisdom increases by 1.
Keen Senses. You have proficiency with the Perception skill.

Grizzly Meeshka
Ability Score Increase. Your Constitution increases by 1.
Menacing. You have proficiency with the Intimidation skill.

Polar Meeshka
Ability Score Increase. Your Constitution increases by 1.
Arctic Born. You’re naturally adapted to cold climates, as described in chapter 5 of the Dungeon Master’s Guide.
