18. Cherubikon AC: Leather, HD: 3, Attacks: 8 eye petals, 9 tentacles, 1d6 damage, attacks with up to 9 tentacles, but no more than 2 can ever be used to attack the same creature. That creature must be in line of sight of the eye petal that is attached to said tentacles.
Song of Anaphoria Each eye petal of a cherubikon has a gaze attack, which with all 8 eyes covers a 360 degree arc. All targets of an eye petal's gaze hear a faint song that enthralls all listeners for 2d6 rds on a failed save. The enthralled experience a state of euphoria and sensasition of touching an unexplainable higher power. It is impossible to detect wear the song is coming from and since it is a gaze attack even deaf creatures can hear the Song of Anaphoria, which is so shocking that it imposses disadvantage to deaf creatures. This song alao has a profound effect on clergy and holy men, and if you believe in them, angels. These creatures roll with diasadvantage. Children are also highly suseptable the Cherubikons' lullabies, causing them to roll with disadvantage as well. More often than not, Cherubikons' are found surrounded by enthralled creatures comprised mostly of children.
#5 I'm going to pretend the parenthetical "(Natives)" isn't in there, because I don't even know what to do with the way it changes the sentiment of "Absent friends: May we see them again."
However, those two oysters are obviously grown-up versions of the oysters the Walrus and the Carpenter ate. Two possible uses for that, one applicable anywhere, the other to be reserved for gourmand murderhobos who eat every monster they kill:
1) One night per year, murderers (like your player characters) are visited by ghosts of people they slew.
2) A monster where, when you eat it, you eventually turn into it. Hope you enjoyed that irregular ration, kid, because now the monster is you.

Now the ideas for the campaigns. 1.Out on the town, the party soon encounter a being that greatly resembles a potato. This being, called a Starch Lord, is holding an oversize envelope. The only words on it are "I wish you a happy new year!" The party will soon be enamored by this figure's jolly attitude. They may even in fact think his gift is for the citizens of the fair place. However, the envelope isn't meant for the humans of the town....
6. All seems good in the quiet town the party rest in. Soon, though, a recent string of child disappearances have been noted by the town crier. And for some reason, snowmen have been appearing all over the town. The children of this land seem greatly distressed about this however; they call the beings "wrong" and "horrible."
7. Vampires who were changed from a parental stock may need to deal with their children and those kids eventual mortality. Some vampires take the "logical" conclusion and change their kids into vampires themselves. So what does one get? The answer: a little child who has the power to act on their tantrums. Still, the parents want to protect and make their kin happy. Every August they send their children out to reval in their vampire instincts. The angel wings on their backs represent them as being their vampire parents "Little Angels." ( So horrible costumes that makes one feel for the poor buggers.)
13. For one night in September, ghosts who have died recently get a chance to return to the living. Though they must take the form of birds and carry matches that ward off evil spirits. Hundreds of thousands of souls each year form a "parade" and do their best to get back to their bodies before dawn light. This year though, it seems a unnatural blizzard has separated one part of the parade from the other. Worse yet, it seems that something is stalking the poor things.
17. Three, rhyming cat brothers represent feline(housecat) justice. Like The Furies, although, less horrific and persistent. Usually the cats don't appear often to humans, only the most horrific crimes against housecat kind are considered. So what happens when these three felines point towards one of the party members and say that they have committed a sin against the race?
I have so many questions...

ReplyDeleteI mean, it's never been proven that it isn't.

I'm making room in my heart for this.
